Methods of Academic Writing and Research

A vital part of your studies as a Major is the Methods of Academic Research and Writing Module.

In this module you will write your first academic papers. The Methods of Academic Research and Writing Module consists of four parts:

One class from the Literary studies department

One class from the Linguistics department

One seminar on Academic Writing (with foucs on Literary studies OR linguistics) 

One seminar on Information- and Research competence

To complete the module you will have to write and pass two partial papers.

To register them in the Studierendenportal please use the numbers Hausarbeit SW (Pnr. 1188) and Hausarbeit LW (Pnr. 1189).

The Methods of Academic Writing and Research Module is not graded, but passing the module is necessary for graduation.
